Spencer Skinner was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and received a Bachelor of Science at University of Utah. He then completed medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine where he graduated with honors. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and OU Medical Center. His residency was followed by a fellowship specializing in orthopaedic hand and upper extremity which was completed at Virginia Commonwealth University and VCU Medical Center. He specializes in orthopaedic surgery in hand, upper extremity and peripheral nerve surgery. His interests include treatment of traumatic and non-traumatic hand, wrist, and elbow conditions (Carpal tunnel, tendonitis, masses and cysts, trigger finger, arthritis, Dupuytren's contractures, deformities, etc.). Nerve conditions and nerve injuries of the upper extremity, arthroscopy of the wrist and elbow, traumatic injuries to tendons, ligaments; dislocations and fractures from the clavicle to the fingertips. He enjoys restoring or improving hand function to his patients to allow more fulfilled life experiences. He is passionate about his work and providing compassionate and excellent care to his patients.
